Aristotle, born in 384 BCE in Stagira, a small town in northern Greece, was one of the most influential figures in Western philosophy and a polymath whose contributions spanned diverse fields including philosophy, biology, ethics, and politics. Aristotle's early life was marked by intellectual curiosity. At the age of seventeen, he journeyed to Athens to study at Plato's Academy, an illustrious institution where he would spend nearly two decades. After his time at the Academy, Aristotle ventured to the court of Philip II of Macedon to tutor the young prince who would later become Alexander the Great. The Scholastics, including figures like Thomas Aquinas, integrated Aristotle's philosophy into Christian theology.
